Avignon (France)

Avignon, the great city of the popes and for centuries one of the main cultural centers of France, is one of the most visited French cities. Perhaps the most famous monument and symbol of the city is the Avignon Bridge, whose four preserved arches from the original twenty-two end in the middle of the Rhone River.
