Brno (Czechia)

The main axis of the city of Brno is Masaryk Street - today a pedestrian zone. After a few meters there is the Capuchin Square with the Capuchin Monastery. The cross, which belongs to the monastery, awaits visitors an underground tomb in which monks and nobility are buried. Thanks to a sophisticated ventilation system, the corpses were not decomposed but preserved as mummies. The Dietrichstein Palace houses the Moravian Museum, where the most famous exhibit is Venus of Věstonice.
