Hrad Kokořín (Czechia)

Originally not far from here stood a medieval fortress, built by King John of Luxembourg, which was partially carved into the rock. The castle was built in the middle of the 14th century by Hynek Berka of Dubá. The castle was secured by a drawbridge. The building was severely damaged during the Hussite wars and rebuilt in 1911 to 1918.
