From the three sides of the castle you can see the water, on the Nežárka river, which is connected with the pond Vajgar. Since the beginning of the 13th century there was a castle with a black kitchen, in this medieval kitchen guides tell the legend of the White Lady. It is a story of a former inhabitant of the chateau, Perchta von Rosenberg, who was famous for her kindness. In the former Jesuit seminary, Balbín Square is home to the District Museum, with its famous crib with 1,000 figures.
