Kutna Hora (Czechia)

The history of the town is connected with silver mining, as the Kutná Hora mines were among the most powerful in Europe in the Middle Ages. In the 14th century, "Prague groschen" was minted here, one of the most important means of payment of that time. One of the most unusual Gothic temples in our country and in Europe is the Cathedral of St. Barbara. There is a curiosity in the local part of Sedlec: a ossuary in the chapel, built in the 12th century, which is "decorated" with bones of about 40,000 people.
