Lake Como (Italy)

The main access city to the lake is Como. Genuine Como silk is still weaving and printing even when the yarn is imported, the mulberry trees are extinct at the threshold of the 20th century. Among the historical monuments worth noting, the cathedral, town hall, basilica, temple and archaeological museum. Ferries and winged boats sail all year round and cross the 146 km2 water area. The only island in the lake is Isola Comacina.
