Lake Vrana (Croatia)
The lake is separated from the sea by a narrow elevated stripe of land. The best approach is from Pakoštane or Vrana. Vrana Lake was originally freshwater, but due to its connection with the sea, its water is slightly salty. The lake is famous for its wealth of fish. If a tourist is interested, they can buy a fishing permit by the lake. Many diverse waterfowl nest on the banks of the lake.
