Merano (Italy)

The Gruppo del Tassa Natural Park, the Ortles Mountain Range and the vast uninhabited Parco Nazionale dello Stelvio Natural Park are located next to Merano. Nearby points of interest also include Museum of Women of the Museo della Donna and Jewish Museum of Ebraico. A chair lift takes you from Merano to Castel Tirolo. At the Castel Trauttmansdorff with its magnificent garden, you can visit the Touriseum, which is dedicated to the last two centuries of alpine skiing. The Funivia Val di Nova cable car is 6 km away and takes you to Piffling in Merano 2000, where 32 km of slopes are available for enthusiastic skiers.
