Reims is a historic city in northeastern France, about 150 km from Paris. It is a production center of champagne, textiles, food. The history of the city dates back to the Roman Empire. The most important monument is the Cathedral of Notre-Dame de Reims. It stands out for its purity of Gothic style, rich sculptural decoration from the 13th century. From the 12th to the 19th century French kings were crowned here.
