Saint-Tropez (France)
Until the beginning of the 20th century it was a small fishing village with a military fortress. A major port attracted a variety of raw materials to the city. After the Second World War, French artists arrived and the town became a popular seaside tourist resort. Not far from Saint-Tropez is the famous sandy beach of Pampelonne. In 2010 there lived over 4,500 inhabitants. It is another popular celebrity site on the Riviera.
