Sorrento (Italy)

In the city was born poet Torquato Tasso (1544-1595), who has a monument in Piazza T. Tasso. On Piazza San Antonino there is the Basilica of the same name, with a well-preserved portal from the 11th century, as well as the town hall. Valuable is the Baroque church of San Francesco with a cloister and, thanks to the nice view, also Villa Comunale. The city is the Museo Correeale di Terranova with many ancient collections and a picture gallery.
